MMA Training is a great way to work the abs

Tighten your core like a fighter
The abdominal muscles are one of the most important muscle groups there is. They stand as the focal core of the body and are usually the first part to go once extra weight has been gained. This makes them one of the most difficult portions of the body to maintain, yet they are one of the most important to take care of. This is why so many people have a stringent ab workout during their workout session. However, many do not know how to properly work their abs for optimal results. Fortunately, MMA training has the answer to building and getting the perfect abs.
The MMA abs workout is a simple ab workout to follow, but obviously a difficult one to do. Each workout comes with exercises for the abs that push the stamina of the section while cutting down the fatty sections of the area. The workout involves Thai Planks, Thai Crucifixes, Thai Crunches, Elbows To Knees, Gut Shredders, and finally consistent Ape Swings that are to be done for three minutes each one right after the other. Done as a whole, the workout builds the core and can quickly turn someone’s flabby mid section into washboard abs.
However, there are downsides to the MMA ab workout. The first being that it puts a lot of pressure on the feet and hands considering most of the workout takes place on the floor. Luckily, scrapes and injuries to the feet and hands can be avoided by using MMA Gear like MMA Training Gloves. Another downside to the exercise is that for the best performance it’s meant to be done 45 minutes a day, six days a week. This is a commitment for casual gym goers, but if they have the time it really can turn their average mid section into the six pack abs that are found on MMA fighters across the globe.

@Alexia-Nice article. That Thai ab workout looks insane. I wouldn’t recommend doing it every day. Maybe once per week… at best.
Visited MMA Industries. Good looking stuff. I’ve been craving a pair of shorts. I noticed that they don’t carry Tapout. Weird. that is THE product name when it comes to MMA.

Agreed, that looks like a nasty little workout. Alexia, I like the article. Do you have a blog that we can read more of your work on?

@Tim You’re right, they don’t have Tapout listed. I hadn’t noticed that.
I thought that the Thai workout looked nuts too. When you have peeps punching, kicking, kneeing, and elbowing you in the guy though, I guess it’s not a bad thing to really work that core hard.
